Ganesh Productions, Inc. was founded in December of 2010 by actress/director/producer Shannon Elizabeth.
Shannon’s goal is to find really great projects that she believes in and go down whatever avenue she can find that will get that project from the page to the screen. She believes that too many people in this industry work against each other and compete, versus working together and becoming much stronger as one. Little makes Shannon happier than when she can help someone, make introductions and give someone that break they need to kick-start their career.

Shannon chose the name Ganesh to represent her production company for many reason. One, it’s something she’s always been very drawn to. She has statues of Ganesh all over her home in many sizes and textures. Two, Ganesh is a Hindu deity who, among other things, is the Remover of Obstacles. Since Hollywood and the industry are filled with obstacles, the name seemed to be very apropos. Finally, Shannon is a big animal lover and activist. Seeing as Ganesh has the head of an elephant, and Shannon has had a fondness for elephants as far back as she can remember (not to mention they’re a strong symbol of luck), naming her company Ganesh Productions became a very clear choice to her.
At the moment, the production slate for the company is full and they are not in need of submissions for cast and crew. Please don’t send any resumes for the time being. When a project is getting close to being green lit, this message will be updated.
